Since we began our journey in 2022, Jamii Afyaplus Limited (JALI) has produced and supplied over 37,000 packs of Afyaplus antimicrobial reusable sanitary pads to school-going girls and other individuals in both urban and rural areas. We have established significant partnerships with several NGOs working in WASH, girls’ programs, and women’s empowerment, and we collaborate with agents across multiple regions of Tanzania. Additionally, through our innovative pad-sewing training, JALI has empowered over 34 girls by teaching them how to make their own reusable sanitary pads and develop sewing skills, helping them overcome poverty and unemployment.
JALI bridges the Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) information gap by offering Afyaplus reusable pads and education on menstrual health, sexual reproductive health, and rights. Our professional efforts have reached 9,709 community members, raising awareness and providing sustainable solutions. Through these initiatives, we empower individuals with essential knowledge and resources, significantly improving health outcomes and fostering a more informed and supportive community.
Over the past two years, we have successfully distributed more than 25,000 Afyaplus reusable sanitary pads to a diverse range of recipients. These include refugee NGOs, government organizations, schools, agents, and rural communities throughout Tanzania. Our efforts aim to enhance menstrual hygiene management and support the well-being of individuals in need, contributing to better health outcomes and improved quality of life across the region. providing sustainable solutions.
Since we started, we have partnered with over 10 organizations in Tanzania to improve menstrual health hygiene. Through the sale of Afyaplus reusable pads and comprehensive menstrual health education, we aim to enhance the well-being and hygiene practices of individuals across the region. Our collaborations are dedicated to promoting sustainable solutions and raising awareness about the importance of menstrual health.
